The scouting season has begun for the 2024 MLB Draft. Check out which college players we believe are must-watch over the next three months.
The NCAA Baseball season is well underway and major league scouts have taken to the fields to evaluate this year's crop of prospects. We've also been out in full force, taking in games and utilizing film to prepare our draft rankings. Today, we are providing our preliminary overview of the 2024 MLB Draft Class - college players only. We will grade players A+, A, B, and C, depending on how we value them as prospects. In May, we will produce a midterm ranking, and after the College World Series, we will provide our final ranking.
Grading Scale
Players who are rated 'A+' are prospects who we consider potential 1-1 picks. The Cleveland Guardians have much to consider, as there are a few names that fit this grade right now.
The prospects who rank in the 'A' category include players who we feel can be first-round picks or Top-30 prospects.
Anyone in the 'B' section fit as Top-60 prospects, or second- and third-round picks. Finally, 'C' ranked players fit as third- or fourth-round picks.
It is important to remember that these lists are fluid, and we've even highlighted specific players in each group who we believe could rise or fall over the next six weeks.
A+
